The forest of tsalgi is named after the Iroquoian name for "Cherokee" and is an ADF protogrove for an area in southeast Tennessee. This area is a beautiful forest area at the base of the Appalachian mountains.
An ADF protogrove is a location where ADF druids preform rituals to honor one of three entities: gods and goddesses, ancestors (honored dead), and nature spirits. The protogrove is an organization that is like a "grove of trees." Rituals are done in public and are not restricted to a group of less than 13 people like other neopagan woships. This makes it so they have a wider acceptance among the public and are not viewed as being secretive or cult like.
